Gerhard Wolf (legal scholar)

Gerhard Wolf (born June 8, 1952 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German lawyer .

Life

The son of Ernst Wolf and his wife Roda, b. Hartmann, attended elementary school in Königstein im Taunus from 1959 to 1963 . After the Abitur at Gymnasium Philippinum (to 1971 1963) in Marburg he studied from 1971 to 1976 law at the University of Marburg (1977 first legal state examination / 1979 second state examination). From 1979 to 1984 he was a research assistant at the chair of the later doctoral and post-doctoral father Dieter Meurer . After receiving his doctorate in 1984 (punishment and education according to the Juvenile Court Act) and his habilitation in 1990 (The System of the Law of Criminal Defense), he represented chairs in Erlangen , Heidelberg , Göttingen and Frankfurt an der Oder . From 1995 to 2017 he held the chair for criminal law, criminal procedural law and legal informatics at the European University Viadrina .
