Gerlingen is a district of the municipality of Ense in the district of Soest , administrative district of Arnsberg , ( North Rhine-Westphalia ). The place is on the northern edge of the hair strand and about 2 km south of the B1; Soest is about 12 km and Werl about 7 km away. It is about 10 km to the Möhnesee recreational area .

Together with Bittingen and Bilme , the place is one of the least populated, but larger districts of Ense in terms of area.

Townscape

The townscape with the Gerlinger Grund is characterized by cultivated farms and single-family houses, as well as fields, forests and meadows. There is no infrastructure worth mentioning , and few farms market their products directly. The area is accessed by a cycle path.

history

In the course of the local reorganization on July 1, 1969, Gerlingen was combined with 13 other independent places to form the new municipality of Ense.
