Gerrit Krause

Gerrit Krause (* 1968 ) is a German dancer, stage actor and singer.

Life

Krause spent his childhood in Rabat and his youth in Bonn , where he initially trained as a dancer. Initial stage experience in the independent theater scene followed engagements at the Schauspiel Bonn and at the stages of the city of Cologne . In 2001 he professionalized his singing and acting skills through musical training in Bad Gandersheim . At the Gandersheim Cathedral Festival he appeared in the same year as Michael von Cesena in " The Name of the Rose " and as a priest in " Jesus Christ Superstar " . He also played this role in 2002/2003 at the Stadttheater Münster . Further engagements followed, such as in Goethe's “ Faust ” or in the musicals “ Evita ”, “ Hair ” and “ Cabaret ”. From 2004 to 2007 he was a member of the Theater an der Rott ensemble in Eggenfelden , where he appeared in “ Ladies Night ”, “ Die Räuber ”, “ Das Wirtshaus im Spessart ” and most recently in “Kaiser im Rottal”. Then he switched to the Burgfestspiele in Mayen , where he appeared in “ The Wizard of Oz ” and in “ Captain von Köpenick ”. In the 2012 season he will be there on stage in Konstantin Wecker's musical version of “ Alexis Sorbas ” and also took over the choreography of the production.
