Gerrit Plomp (born June 27, 1963 in Utrecht ) is a former Dutch football player .

Career

Plomp played for FC Utrecht in his hometown . With Utrecht he played in the Eredivisie for six years . In 1985 he and his team made it to the final of the KNVB Cup 1984/85 . The final was won 1-0 against Helmond Sport . Plomp had won his first title in professional football. For the 1989/90 season he moved to VfL Bochum in the Bundesliga . In Bochum he strengthened the defense alongside players such as his compatriot Rob Reekers and Thomas Kempe . Coach Reinhard Saftig played him in ten games up until the winter break, but Plomp moved back to Feyenoord Rotterdam in the Netherlands . There he was losing to Fortuna Sittard for half a year . Plomp returned to Feyenoord, where he played until 1992.
