Gerry Flynn

Gerry Flynn (born May 21, 1965 in Longford ) is an Irish show jumper who competes for Turkey . Until the end of 2007 he was Commander of the Irish Army (in the Army Equitation School) on horses of the Irish Ministry of Defense (Minister for Defense), especially on his successful horse Mo Chroi , an Irish sport horse . With this he won the Grand Prix at the CSIO ***** in Dublin , the CSIO **** in Lisbon , the CSIO **** in Drammen and the CSI *** in Vimeiro . In addition, he was part of an Irish team in Nations Cups 31 times, eleven of which ended with an Irish victory.

After completing his military career, he is the head coach of the S International Equestrian Center Team of the Turkish equestrian patron Sevil Sabancı . As part of this activity he trains a large number of Turkish show jumpers, but also occasionally competes in some international tournaments himself. With SIEC Janico he was fourth at the Grand Prix of the Bulgarian Nations Cup in Albena in 2009 and third at the Grand Prix of the Romanian Nations Cup in Piatra Neamț .

In 2010 he changed his nationality and is now starting for Turkey. In June of the same year he played a Nations Cup for Turkey for the first time in Ypäjä (Finland).
