Sevil Sabancı

Sevil Sabancı (born January 4, 1973 in Istanbul ) is a Turkish entrepreneur and rider. She is a member of the Sabancı family.

Life

Sevil Sabancı was born as the third child of Sakıp Sabancı , the founder of Sabancı Holding . Sabancı graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from Marmara University in Istanbul.

After completing her studies, she worked in various positions in family businesses. From 1997 to 2001 she was managing director of Sabanci Holding. She is a board member of the Türkan Sabancı School for the Visually Impaired, which was founded by her mother, Türkan Sabancı.

She has a daughter from her marriage to Eran Tapan.

Equestrian sport

Inspired by the equestrian statue in the garden of the family villa, Sabanci became a passionate show jumper. She competes in national and partly international show jumping tournaments and took part in a Nations Cup for the first time in June 2010 in Ypäjä, Finland .

From 2004 to 2007 she was vice-president of the Turkish Equestrian Association.

Sabancı supports both Turkish show jumpers and Gerry Flynn by providing them with horses for the great sport. Until mid-2010, she also made horses available to Cameron Hanley . The S International Equestrian Center Team (SIEC) , which she founded , is supervised by Gerry Flynn as head coach and Gerard Mullins as team supervisor. The team's horses are housed in Dietmar Gugler's stable .
