Gérard "Gerry" Gravelle (born December 15, 1934 in Hull ) is a former Canadian ski jumper .

Career

Gravelle made his international debut at the Four Hills Tournament in 1959/60 . After ranking 36th on the Schattenbergschanze in Oberstdorf and two 40th places in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Innsbruck , he achieved his best individual result with rank 32 on the Paul-Ausserleitner-Schanze in Bischofshofen . In the overall ranking he reached the 29th place.

A little later he played his only major tournament with the start of the 1960 Winter Olympics in Squaw Valley . In the individual jumping on the normal hill he reached the 34th place with jumps on 79.5 and 72 meters, tied with Willi Egger . His start at the Olympic Games was previously in danger due to a lack of financial resources. The lack of funds for Gravelle was financed through a fundraising campaign among other athletes from Hull.
