The Gerstenrieder Kopf is a 1421 m high summit of the Schergenwieser Berg ridge in the Bavarian Prealps .

Along with the Hochalm to the east, the Gerstenrieder Kopf forms the second highest peak of the ridge, which stretches over Brandkopf , Gerstenrieder Kopf, Hochalm to the Saurüsselkopf . On this ridge, the Hochalm is the only frequently visited summit, so the Gerstenrieder Kopf is only rarely and briefly visited without a path, but without difficulty.
