Gerd Pempelfort
Gerd Pempelfort (* 1928 in Düsseldorf ; † September 25, 1986 in Hamburg ) was a German architect who mainly worked in Hamburg.
Life
He completed his architecture studies at the Technical University of Hanover in 1953 . From 1953 to 1956 he worked in Günther Marschall's office . In 1956 he formed an office community with Kaspar G. Wilhelmi, which was dissolved in 1963 when Wilhemi died. From 1965 to 1983 Pempelfort worked in partnership with Jost Schramm .
Buildings and designs
- 1958: Competition design in the urban planning ideas competition "Capital Berlin " (together with Friedrich Spengelin and Fritz Eggeling ; awarded 1st prize)
- 1958–1966: Berner Park housing estate in Hamburg (together with Sprotte & Neve, Hauske & Jochem and Kaspar G. Wilhelmi)
- 1959: Building of the residential complex Horner Geest, Speckenreye 2 / 2a / 2b, 8 / 8a / 8b / 8c, 8d / 8e, 16 / 16a / 16b, 24 / 24a / 24b, 28 / 28a / 28b / 28c, 32 / 32a / 32b (together with Karl-Gerd Wilhelmi)
- 1962: Assembly house at the International Horticultural Exhibition in Hamburg (together with Kaspar G. Wilhelmi)
- 1963: Horner Geest skyscraper in Hamburg (together with Kaspar G. Wilhelmi)
- 1964: Swimming pool of the house at Dörpfeldstrasse 33 (together with Jost Schramm )
- 1965: Hagenbecks Tierpark underground station in Hamburg
- 1966–1968: Head office of Esso AG in the City Nord in Hamburg (together with Jost Schramm and Herbert Großner)
- 1967: Apartment buildings in Hindenburgstraße, Hamburg (together with Jost Schramm and H.Behrs)
- 1968: Protestant Petruskirche, Winfridweg, Hamburg-Lokstedt
- 1970–1973: today's Radisson Blu Hotel Hamburg next to the Congress Center Hamburg (together with Jost Schramm )
- 1971: Lodge house of the united five Hamburg lodges .
- 1971–1973: Buildings 1 and 2 of the Billstedt grammar school in Hamburg-Billstedt (together with Jost Schramm ), since 2007 Kurt Körber grammar school
- 1977–1981: Reconstruction of the Blohm & Voss administration building, Hermann-Blohm-Straße 2, Hamburg (together with Jost Schramm )
