Prix began his musical career at the age of 7 at the Klagenfurt Conservatory . At the age of 15 he was involved in the founding of the boy group "Sir Donald", which was soon replaced by "Three Tight". “Three Tight” won Peter Rapp's first big chance in 1980. The band performed around the Wörthersee for 26 years with an unchanged line-up : Gert Prix on the keys, Heinz Köchl on the guitar and Rolf Holub on the drums. Not least because of their show program, Three Tight was known as “the cult band from Lake Wörthersee”, which created the Wörthersee sound and, among other things, took part in Lisa Film's Wörthersee films . Three Tight were replaced in 2000 by the Beach Band, a Beach Boys tribute and flower power band, which still exists today .
