Gertrud Busch

Gertrud Busch (born July 2, 1892 in Dresden , † February 15, 1970 in Radeberg ) was a German writer and lecturer .

Life

Gertrud Busch was the daughter of the Radebeul entrepreneur and owner of what would later become Union works , Richard Busch (1864–1944). She grew up in Radebeul for the first 15 years and lived in Dresden from 1907. She studied architecture at the Dresden Academy of Applied Arts and later passed on her knowledge as a lecturer in rural women's schools.

From 1925 onwards she published numerous fairy tales, stories and novels, the first being Wunderland (Legends) in 1925 . In 1939 the historical novel True History by Magister Wolfgang Uhle was published , which in 1953 was to be her most important work in a new edition under the title The Pest Pastor of Annaberg . Together with Jeanne Berta Semmig , she was a member of the Dresden Literary Association . She spent her old age in the Tobiasmühle nursing home near Radeberg . Her estate is in the German Literature Archive in Marbach .
