Gertrud Glöckner

Gertrud Glöckner (born January 12, 1902 in Dresden ; † June 4, 1968 ) was a German politician ( SPD / SED ) and a functionary of the Democratic Women's Federation of Germany (DFD). She was a member of the Saxon State Parliament and the People's Chamber .

Life

Glöckner, daughter of a civil servant, attended elementary school and then business school . She then worked as a commercial clerk. Organized early in the union , she joined the SPD in 1922 and held smaller functions in the party until 1933.

After the end of the war she became a member of the SPD again in 1945, she also joined the DFD. From April 1946 she was a member of the secretariat of the SED state committee in Saxony (responsible for the women's department), and from 1949 also a member of the small secretariat of the SED state committee. From 1946 to 1952 she was a member of the Saxon state parliament, from 1950 to 1952 as chair of the budget committee . From 1948 to 1950 she was a member of the People's Council and the People's Chamber and - after dissolution of the country - from 1952 to 1954 a member of the District day in Dresden .

From 1948 she was a member of the DFD state board and from 1953 second chairwoman of the Dresden district board of the DRK . As such, she was awarded the Silver Patriotic Order of Merit in February 1962 .
