Gertrud Kempe

Gertrud Kempe (born January 3, 1895 in Berlin ; † cannot be determined) was a German politician ( LDP ). She was a member of the state parliament of Mecklenburg .

Life

Kempe attended the Oberlyzeum in Stettin . 1918 she studied until 1923 in Breslau in German , history and philosophy . In 1923/1924 she passed her state examination in German, history and philosophical propaedeutics . She then worked from 1925 to 1946 as a study assessor, student councilor, and later as deputy and acting head of the high school for girls in Demmin . From 1931 to 1932 she studied French language and literature in Grenoble and Greifswald and then took the French extension examination. In February 1941 she was removed from her position as deputy director by the chief president of Pomerania, Franz Schwede-Coburg , because she refused to join the NSDAP .

As a student she was a member of the youth group of the German Democratic Party and belonged to the German Peace Society until it was dissolved in 1933.

In 1946 Kempe joined the Liberal Democratic Party of Germany (LDP) and became a member of the Kulturbund for the democratic renewal of Germany . From October 1946 to March 1948 she was a member of the Mecklenburg state parliament and a member of the culture committee. From 1947 she was first chairwoman of the Demmin branch of the Kulturbund. From April 1947 to March 1948 she was a member of the extended state board of the LDP Mecklenburgs.

In 1950 Kempe fled to the west.
