Gesche Schünemann

Gesche Schünemann (born November 18, 1982 in Gießen ) is a German national player in wheelchair basketball .

Schünemann has been playing wheelchair basketball since 2006. Since then she has already been twice European champion (once in Wetzlar ), silver medalist at the 2008 Summer Paralympics in Beijing , German champion and cup winner with the RSV Lahn-Dill and gold medalist at the 2012 Summer Paralympics in London . She lives in Tübingen, where she also studied sports management with a focus on marketing. Schünemann used to be active as a swimmer, the parade route was the 200 meters chest. Her twin sister is called Meike.

She is the holder of the Silver Laurel Leaf of the Federal Republic of Germany.
