Journal of Fantastic Research
The Society for Fantastic Research has published the Journal for Fantastic Research (ZfF) twice a year since 2011 . ZfF is the only scientific journal in German-speaking countries that appears regularly and is entirely devoted to dealing with the fantastic.
Original contributions from various humanities and social science disciplines are published that deal with the fantastic in literature, art, theater, film, comics, series and computer games, deal with individual aspects of the history, theory and aesthetics of the fantastic or with them as social and overall cultural Investigate phenomenon (e.g. in fan and subcultures). In addition, the ZFF consistently promotes interdisciplinary research into the fantastic.
From 2011 to 2016 the ZFF was published twice a year by LIT Verlag as a magazine.
In 2019, ZfF was the first German-language journal to be included in the Open Library of Humanities and has since been available worldwide as an open access publication on this platform.
