The Kisbér Stud was a stud in the village of Kisbér in Komárom-Esztergom County in Hungary .

In 1852, the kk military stud Kisbér was founded 25 km south-east of the existing Bábolna stud . The required lands and land, a manor and the castle of Count Kasimir Batthyány were confiscated.

English half and thoroughbred horses were bred in the kk state horse breeding institute. In addition, mares were imported from England in 1854. In 1865 it came under the Hungarian crown and was run as a royal Hungarian state stud.

After the First World War , the stud lost its entire animal population of 2,907 horses because they were brought to Romania . The count's manor and the castle building have been preserved from the former stud (with a different use).

The Kisber Felver ( Hungarian Kisbéri-félvér , "Kisbér half-blood") is a Hungarian Sport Horse - Breed The breed was developed about 1853 in the stud Kisbér for the military. The stud book was opened in 1860. Today the breed has developed into the modern sport horse. It is rare and threatened with extinction in 2018. The aim of breeding is a height of 1.55 m and 1.72 m with a fine head and straight profile. Browns and foxes predominate.
