In 2017 the band played two tours in Europe, in February as part of the You Are Part of This tour with Comeback Kid and Deez Nuts and in November with Nasty and Lionheart . style

The Austrian online magazine Stormbringer locates Get the Shot in a review of the 2017 album Infinite Punishment "primarily in hardcore", but also sees elements of deathcore and beatdown and makes comparisons to the British hardcore band Malevolence . The German Ox-Fanzine saw the metal elements of the album No Peace in Hell limited to a few guitar solos and instead drew comparisons to the US hardcore band Reign Supreme . The follow-up album Infinite Punishment , on the other hand , was classified by the Ox as a mixture of Hardcore and Thrash Metal, which unites "cracking metallic guitars" and "heavy hardcore grooves" and enables comparisons with Hatebreed . The US magazine Decibel sees call-and-response singing, “crushing” metal riffs and “incendiary” lyrics as the band's trademarks. The German Allschools magazine sees on the album Infinite Punishment not only hardcore and thrash metal but also death metal influences at work.

The band defines their music as a mixture of hardcore from the 1990s à la Strife or Ringworm and elements of Thrash Metal from the 1980s. The lyrics come from singer Lagacé and deal with philosophical questions, whereby over the years there has been a development towards a holistic, dystopian approach.
