Business park Hochfranken
The Hochfranken industrial park is an industrial park in Upper Franconia . It is located between the independent city of Hof and the community of Gattendorf in the district of Hof .
Location and development
The industrial park is located about 3.5 kilometers from Gattendorf and four kilometers from Hof on federal highway 173 . The area extends on the city limits of Hof, east of the Labyrinthberg near Haidt and southwest of the Hof Golf Club.
The Hochfranken industrial park was founded as an industrial park that primarily offers space for automotive suppliers and logistics companies . Due to its proximity to the A 72 and A 93 motorways , the area is conveniently located. Mainly because of its proximity to the Northern and Eastern European markets, the location in Upper Franconia is important for the logistics industry.
The planning area includes the urban corridor and land in Gattendorf. Of 80 hectares, 50 hectares belong to the community of Gattendorf and 20 hectares to the town of Hof. The park has a total area of 156 hectares, 114 hectares of which are open space. The industrial park is divided into five construction phases, in 2020 90% of the first phase will be fully occupied.

In May 2020, Landauer Transportgesellschaft Doll KG announced that it would open a branch in the industrial park. The company invested seven million euros in this. Construction is scheduled to take place in autumn 2020.
The biggest success to date for the business park came in 2020 with the settlement of Amazon . The US company wants to build its 14th logistics center in Germany in the Hochfranken business park. This will create around 1,000 new jobs, and at peak times there should be 600 more.
