Gheorghe Oprea (born April 15, 1927 in Băicoi , Prahova district ; † 1998 ) was a Romanian politician of the Romanian Communist Party PMR (Partidul Muncitoresc Român) and from 1965 PCR (Partidul Comunist Român) , who was a member of the Political Executive Committee of the Central Committee (ZK) of the PCR was. Oprea attended the industrial high school in Ploieşti between 1938 and 1972 and then worked as an analyst and technical controller in the local Mǎrgineanca factory. In 1946 he joined the then Communist Party PCR (Partidul Comunist din România) as a member and completed a mechanical engineering degree from 1949 , which he completed as an engineer.
