Giacomo Francesco Lotti

Giacomo Francesco Lotti (* 1759 in Bignasco ; † April 26, 1814 in Bellinzona ) was a Swiss judge and Ticino politician. Lotti grew up as the son of Giacomo Francesco Lotti in a Catholic family in Bignasco. He was married to Margherita Bonezi and was the father of Giacomo Angelo Lotti . His place of origin was Bignasco.

biography

After attending grammar school, Lotti studied law and successfully completed it. During the Helvetic Republic in 1798 he was appointed President of the Provisional Government of Locarno . From 1798 to 1802 Lotti was used as the district governor of the Valle Maggia . In the years 1801-1802 he represented Bignasco in the cantonal state parliament (Dietina). He also took on responsibility for the Valle Maggia, which he represented before the Executive Board in Aarau. At the same time he was one of the other three envoys from Locarno and Maggia, who represented the region to the Directory and the French occupation. He was then elected to the Ticino Grand Council from 1803 to 1808 and from 1813 to 1814 . 1805-1814 he sat in the appellate court . From 1811 to 1814 he also served as a judge in the administrative court .
