Giacomo Sinibaldi (bishop, 1856)

Giacomo Sinibaldi (born October 11, 1856 in Civitella San Paolo ; † August 19, 1928 ) was an Italian bishop of the curia and from 1913 until his death secretary of the congregation for seminaries and study institutions .

Life

Giacomo Sinibaldi studied at the Orte seminary . He was rector of the Collegio Portugiese in Rome and canon of Saint Peter . Sinibaldi was on 15 May 1913 by Pope Pius X to the titular bishop of Tiberias appointed. He received his episcopal consecration on May 30, 1913, the Curia Cardinal Mariano Rampolla del Tindaro ; Co-consecrators were the Archbishops Pietro Alfonso Jorio and Luigi Lazzareschi .

Pope Benedict XV appointed him on December 16, 1915 secretary of the Holy Congregation for seminaries and study institutions. After his death in 1928, Ernesto Ruffini succeeded him.
