Gianfranco Piccioli

Gianfranco Piccioli (born February 26, 1944 in Viareggio ) is an Italian film producer and director as well as screenwriter .

Life

Piccioli graduated from DAMS (Discipline delle Arti, della Musica e dello Spettacolo) in Bologna and gained his first experience in the film business in 1965 as a script supervisor at Maurizio Arena . He made his first short films and worked for television in informative formats such as Ragazzo racconta la tua storie and La terza età . In 1972 he made his debut as a cinema director, the drama Un doppio a metà . After two more directing jobs - a Giallo and an adventure comedy - Piccioli switched to the production of films from 1977, including all works by Francesco Nuti , with whom he founded the "Union PN" named after them in 1981. He also owns Settimaluna Film & Television.
