After the passengers have taken their seats and the shoulder straps are closed, the gondola is pulled up with a cable at a speed of up to 5 m / s. Once at the top, the gondola is disengaged and now falls down the tower. Depending on the height of the tower, there are so-called eddy current brakes from the ground up to a certain height . The counterpart to this brake is on the nacelle. As soon as the gondola comes into contact with it, the gondola is braked.
Variations
The manufacturer offers this type in different heights, with different numbers of gondolas and seats and also with different seating positions. There are currently towers with heights of 37 m to 126 m, which means that the maximum speed varies from 64 km / h to 135 km / h. There are gondolas with four or eight seats. In addition to the classic sitting position, there are also variants with seats tilting forward (up to 20 °), standing and tilting positions (up to 15 °) and bottomless and tilting positions (also up to 15 °). A tower can be equipped with different types of gondolas.
