Gilbert Okari

Gilbert Okari (born July 2, 1978 ) is a Kenyan long-distance runner .

Life

In 2003 he was over 10,000 m third in the national eliminations for the World Athletics Championships in Paris / Saint-Denis , but later removed from the squad. He decided to focus on road running now, and subsequently won several major races in the United States, including the Falmouth Road Race three times in a row (2004-2006). In 2006 he won the Vancouver Sun Run and the World's Best 10K . In 2008 he won the San José Half Marathon .

Okari is part of Dieter Hogen's KIMbia training group .
