The Gilbert Spur (English; Bulgarian рид Гилбърт rid Gilbart ) is a largely icy, north-south orientation 3.9 km long, 2.3 km wide and up to 1900  m high mountain ridge in the west Antarctic Ellsworthland . In the southern part of the Sentinel Range in the Ellsworth Mountains, it rises 2.1 km south of Chaplin Peak , 8.5 km southwest of Mount Strybing , 10.5 km southwest of Mount Liptak and 11.7 km east to north of Mount Fisek at the confluence of Bender and Nimitz glaciers .

American scientists mapped it in 1961 and 1988. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2014 after Joseph Gilbert (1732–1821), captain of the HMS Resolution on the second South Sea voyage (1772–1775) of the British navigator James Cook .
