The Bender Glacier is a wide glacier in the west Antarctic Ellsworthland . It flows in the southern section of the Sentinel Range of the Ellsworth Mountains from Mount Atkinson and Mount Craddock in a southerly direction to the Nimitz Glacier .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 2006 after the US palaeoclimatologists Michael L. Bender (born 1943) from Princeton University whose since 1984 ongoing research to alternate between warm and ice ages and the carbon cycle important contributions to understanding the climate history provide .
