Gilbert Trattner

Gilbert Trattner (born November 20, 1949 in Greifenburg ) is an Austrian manager and politician ( FPÖ ). Trattner is currently chairman of the supervisory board of ÖBB-Holding AG and was a member of the Federal Council and member of the National Council .

education and profession

Trattner attended elementary school from 1955 to 1960 and then a federal high school, where he graduated in 1970. Trattner then did his military service between 1970 and 1971 and began studying economics at the University of Innsbruck in 1971 , which he completed in 1977 with the academic degree Mag. Rer. soc. oec. completed.

Trattner was an authorized signatory at Leasfinanz AG between 1977 and 2000 and from 1977 area manager for Tyrol and Vorarlberg. In addition, he was managing director of Leasfinanz Germany until 2000. Between 2000 and 2001 he was Federal Managing Director of the FPÖ, after which he moved from January 2002 to March 2005 as Managing Director of the Rail Infrastructure Financing Company. From July 2004 to December 2004, Trattner was a member of the board of the Eisenbahn-Hochleistungsstrecken AG and since January 2005 he has been a member of the board of the ÖBB-Infrastruktur Bau AG.

Since 2018 he has been chairman of the supervisory board of ÖBB-Infrastruktur and, as successor to Norbert Gugerbauer, a member of the supervisory board of ÖBB-Holding AG . In December 2018 he was appointed as the successor to Arnold Schiefer as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of ÖBB-Holding.

politics

Trattner was a member of the Federal Council from November 20, 1990 to February 25, 1993 and represented the FPÖ in the National Council between February 26, 1993 and January 29, 2002. From 2000 to 2002 Trattner was also deputy chairman of the Freedom Party in the National Council.
