Gino from Finetti

Gino von Finetti (born May 9, 1877 in Pisino d'Istria , † August 5, 1955 in Gorizia , Italy ) was a painter, draftsman and illustrator. Gino von Finetti achieved great fame through his painterly and graphic work, but also through his advertising art . Among other things, his advertising graphics for Henkell Trocken between 1907 and 1911, in which the product became part of his artistic drawing, should be emphasized .

Life and work

Finetti initially lived in Munich, where he attended the art academy from 1899 as a student of Heinrich von Zügel . From 1904 Finetti lived in Berlin and became a member of the Berlin Secession . He was a painter , etcher and lithographer . He quickly made a name for himself as an employee of the magazines Simplicissimus , Münchner Jugend , Ulk , and Funny Blätter . He also emerged as a poster designer and was represented at the secessions of 1906, 1907 and 1912 with various works. Other art exhibitions also showed pictures of him, such as the major art exhibitions in Berlin in 1912, in Stuttgart and Düsseldorf in 1913. He died at the age of 78 in Corona (Gorizia).
