Gintaras Aleknonis

Gintaras Aleknonis (until 1992 Aleknavičius ; born March 31, 1961 in Kačerginė , district Kaunas ) is a Lithuanian theatrologist, journalist, professor at the Mykolas Romeris University .

Life

After graduating from the Kristijonas Donelaitis Middle School in Klaipėda in 1979 , he completed his diploma in journalism at the Vilniaus universitetas in 1984 and in 1992 received his doctorate in theater studies at the Institute of Art Studies in Moscow ( Russia ) on the subject of “Režisieriaus Andriaus Olekos-Žilinsko teatro pedagogika ir lietuvių” teatro kultūros raida ”. He has been a doctor of humanities since 1993. From 1984 to 1993 he taught at the Vilniaus universitetas and from 1992 to 1993 he was editor of the cultural department of the daily newspaper “Respublika” . Since 2005 he has been teaching at the Mykolo Romerio universitetas . He has been a professor there since 2012. In 2012 he became a member of Drąsos kelias . In 2014 he was able to get into the Lithuanian parliament instead of Neringa Venckienė because she was removed from the Seimas (according to the party's list, Stasys Brundza made it to the Seimas).
