Giovane Pereira de Melo (born January 16, 1959 in Salinas ) is a Brazilian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Tocantinópolis .

Life

Giovane Pereira de Melo was ordained a priest for the diocese of Rondonópolis on March 24, 1990 .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on March 4, 2009 Bishop of Tocantinópolis. The bishop of Rondonópolis , Juventino Kestering , donated him episcopal ordination on May 8 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Alberto Taveira Corrêa , Archbishop of Palmas , and Gentil Delázari , Bishop of Sinop . The inauguration in the diocese of Tocantinópolis took place on May 24, 2009.
