Giovanni Caccia-Piatti
Giovanni Caccia-Piatti , also Giovanni Cacciapiatti (* 8. March 1751 in Novara ; † 15. September 1833 ) was an Italian cardinal .
Church career
Caccia-Piatti was appointed cardinal deacon by Pope Pius VII in the consistory of March 8, 1816 and was assigned the title deaconry Santi Cosma e Damiano . From 1823 to 1825 he was treasurer of the Holy College of Cardinals . Cardinal Caccia-Piatti took part in the conclave of 1823 , which Leo XII. elected to the Pope. He was also involved in the election of Pius VIII at the conclave of 1829 . He became Prefect of the Apostolic Signature . At the conclave 1830–1831 , when Gregory XVI. was raised to Pope, he did not participate.
He died in Novara and was buried in the local church of Sant'Eufemia .
