Girard Rhoden

Girard Rhoden (* 1961 in Chicago ) is an American opera, operetta, musical and lied singer ( tenor ).

Life

Girard Rhoden grew up in a musical family. He began his stage training at the age of ten, but initially as an actor. His career as an opera singer began at the University of Illinois . At the Opera Illinois in Peoria he was a student of William Warfield . After the master's degree in singing, the young colored singer went to San Francisco , where he sang Belmonte in The Abduction from the Seraglio , Edgard von Rawenswood in Lucia di Lammermoor and José in Carmen Jones .

In 1987 the artist came to Munich with the touring production Carmen Jones . He was engaged for the choir by the Wiesbaden State Theater . This was followed by an engagement at the Münster Municipal Theaters .
