Girulfus Kherubim Pareira SVD (born September 26, 1941 in Lela ) is an Indonesian clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic Bishop of Maumere .

Life

Girulfus Kherubim Pareira joined the religious order of the Steyler Missionaries , made his profession on August 15, 1970 and was ordained a priest on August 22, 1971 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Weetebula on December 21, 1985 . The bishop of Kupang , Gregorius Manteiro SVD, donated him episcopal ordination on April 25 of the next year . Co- consecrators were Anton Pain Ratu SVD, Bishop of Atambua , and Eduardus Sangsun , Bishop of Ruteng .

He was named Bishop of Maumere on January 19, 2008, and initiated into office on April 25 of the same year.

Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on July 14, 2018.
