Gisela Queck

Gisela Queck (born May 10, 1933 in Berlin ) is a former German functionary of the GDR block party NDPD and DFD functionary. From 1969 to 1990 she was deputy chairwoman of the federal executive committee of the DFD in the GDR .

Life

Gisela Queck, born in Berlin, attended school in Halle (Saale) until she graduated from high school in 1951. She studied economics at the Humboldt University of Berlin with a degree in economics. After graduating, she worked as an assistant in a textile goods wholesaler in Halle and then as trade manager and deputy director of the wholesale office in Altenburg . From 1959 to 1963 she worked as a research assistant at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg .

She became a member of the Democratic Women's Federation of Germany (DFD) and the National Democratic Party of Germany (NDPD). At the 8th party congress of the NDPD in May 1963, she was elected to the main committee of the party for the first time, to which she belonged until 1990.

In October 1963 she was elected as a member of the Neubrandenburg district assembly . When the district council was formed in November 1963, she became the deputy chairman of the Neubrandenburg district council for trade and supply and was thus the only deputy district council chairperson in the GDR responsible for trade and supply. Subsequently, she was a member of the Neubrandenburg District Council for Local Utilities (ÖVW) from November 12, 1975 to July 1981, then until 1986 for recreation and finally again from 1986 to 1990 for ÖVW.

In June 1969, Gisela Queck became a member of the DFD Federal Executive Committee, the DFD Presidium and Deputy DFD Chairwoman at the GDR's 2nd Women's Congress and held these functions until 1990. From 1969 she was also a member of the Council, later of the Secretariat of the Council of the International Women's Democratic Federation (IDFF).

In May 1986 she was elected to the Neubrandenburg District Assembly for the sixth time and belonged to it until it was dissolved in 1990.
