Gistenbeck is a district of the municipality of Clenze in the Lüchow-Dannenberg district in Lower Saxony . The Rundlingsdorf is located 1.5 km southeast of the core area of Clenze.
To the south of the village lies the Gain forest area, which is under nature protection .
history
On July 1, 1972, Gistenbeck was incorporated into the municipality of Clenze.
religion
The ev.-luth. Kapellengemeinde Gistenbeck belongs to the ev.-luth. Clenze parish of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hanover . The small half-timbered chapel St. Andreas from the end of the 17th century has a polygonal east end. The carved winged altar dates from around 1400. It has been drained and shows the crucifixion with Mary and John in the middle shrine . Four saints are depicted in each of the wings .
The independent Evangelical Lutheran Church has had the half-timbered St. Pauli church in the village since 1879, which was completely renovated in 1999. In 2009, the organ builder Amadeus Junker built a Breil organ into the church.
