Giuliano Palma (born December 2, 1965 in Milan ) is an Italian musician who was best known as part of the group Giuliano Palma & the Bluebeaters .

Career

Palma began his musical career in 1987 in the group Casino Royale , which moved in the genres of reggae , ska and trip-hop . In 1993 he collaborated with the ska group Fratelli di Soledad and there was the idea of a rock steady - supergroup under the name of Giuliano Palma & the Bluebeaters to form. Musicians from the group Africa Unite were also involved . In 1999, Palma left Casino Royale for good to focus only on the bluebeaters, which debuted in 1999 with The Album . After the Bluebeaters live album The Wonderful , Palma also recorded a solo album in 2002 under the title GP (Gran Premio) .

While he continued to publish (mostly cover ) albums with the group and was on tour, Palma recorded several duets from 2009 with Nina Zilli , Melanie Fiona and Caro Emerald . Club Dogo achieved a summer hit in 2012 with the rap song PES , in which Palma took over the vocal part . After a guest appearance in 2012, Palma took part in the Sanremo Festival for the first time in 2014 : There he presented Un bacio crudele and Così lontano , with the latter reaching eleventh place in the final. Following the festival, Palma's second solo album, Old Boy, was released .

The Bluebeaters continued without Giuliano Palma from 2013. He, on the other hand, worked with Don Joe and with Cris Cab and released his next studio album Groovin ' in 2015 , which mainly contained covers and a few duets. After moving from Universal to Sony , he followed up with the Christmas album Happy Christmas in 2017 .
