Giuseppe Rapisardi
Giuseppe Rapisardi (born January 15, 1799 in Catania ; † April 8, 1853 ibid) was an Italian painter between neoclassicism and romanticism in Sicily .
Life
Rapisardi was a student of Matteo Desiderato . His artistic focus was portrait painting. In addition, he also created paintings and frescoes with mostly religious content, which were created exclusively in the Catania area. His students include his son Michele Rapisardi and Giuseppe Sciuti .
