Acireale is an Italian city in the metropolitan city of Catania in the autonomous region of Sicily with 51,876 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019).

Acireale is located 20 kilometers north of Catania , there are jobs in the production of food, in tourism and in quarries.

history

The community was created in the 14th century by the influx of residents from the coastal towns, as the location of the place offered better protection from pirate attacks. The city was destroyed in the earthquake in 1693 and then rebuilt.
