Location and dates

San Pietro Clarenza is located 12 km north of Catania on the southern slope of Mount Etna . The residents mainly work in agriculture and handicrafts.

The neighboring municipalities are Belpasso , Camporotondo Etneo , Catania , Mascalucia and Misterbianco .

Attractions

The townscape is characterized by houses made of the black lava rock of Mount Etna. The houses have white decorations on the corners. The church contrasts with the white painted facade.
