Career
In the club
Giuseppe Sculli started his career in the youth department of Juventus Turin . In 2000 he switched to the professional squad and has since been loaned to various clubs in order to gain experience.
First he played at FC Crotone where he was used regularly and recommended himself for Serie A after two seasons . The 2001/02 season he played at FC Modena and was again a regular.
For the 2003/04 season he was sent from Juve to AC Chievo Verona , but where he could not prevail. The following season Sculli spent at Brescia Calcio , where he was a regular, but could not prevent relegation.
The 2005/06 season he played at newly promoted FC Messina , where he was used regularly and was just able to avoid relegation from Serie A with the team. In summer 2006 it looked like he would play his first season in the professional team of Juventus Turin , which had to relegate to Serie B due to the manipulation scandal 2005/06 and lost many stars as a result. However, the club decided before the start of the season to loan Sculli to league rivals CFC Genoa . After Giuseppe Sculli had spent the 2006/07 season at Genoa , the club made use of its right of first refusal on June 20, 2007 and signed him permanently.
During the 2010/11 winter break, he moved to Lazio for € 3.5 million .
In the national team
Giuseppe Sculli has played in all youth national teams since the U-15 and completed over 50 junior internationals. His greatest success during this time was at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens when he won the bronze medal under coach Claudio Gentile .
For the senior national team , however, he has not yet been used.
