Gjaidsteig

The Gjaidsteig is a partially secured climb (difficulty level A) in the northern Karwendel range in the Karwendel .

In the German section, the path runs from Mittenwald to the Hochlandhütte , from there the trail leads partially exposed between two ledges north below the massive rock faces of Wörner and Hochkarspitze to Bäralpl , an approx. 1 km wide and 500 m deep saddle in the course of the mountain range, and over the 1820  m above sea level. A. high Bäralplsattel on the Austrian south side of the northern Karwendel chain and further below Bäralplkopf ( 2323  m above sea level ), Vogelkarspitze and Östlicher Karwendelspitze in the Karwendeltaland to the Karwendelhaus .
