Glöttweiler

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Glöttweiler was a village in the municipality of Glött in the Swabian district of Dillingen on the Danube . The hamlet is on the left bank of the Glött .

history

Glöttweiler is an extension that was probably created by Aislingen . The place is first handed down in 1345 as "Wiler". In 1492 there were at least seven properties, five of which belonged to the Glött dominion , one to the Unterwaldbach dominion and the Maierhof to the Aislingen dominion . These manors lasted until the beginning of the 19th century.

After secularization and mediation, the courts belonging to the Aislingen rulership came to the Dillingen district court , others to the Glött lower court and the rest to the Haldenwang patrimonial court .

On October 1, 1971, the name of the village was revoked because it had grown together structurally with Glött. The Weilerstraße, which runs through the town today, is reminiscent of the former village.

Religions

In 1866 the village was re-parished from Aislingen to Glött.

The field chapel in Glöttweiler was probably built in the 17th century. The rectangular building with a gable roof has a small, retracted choir with oval windows and a flat barrel . The facade is structured by pilasters .
