The Glückauf-Brauerei GmbH is a brewery in Gersdorf . Currently, around 50,000 hectoliters of beer are brewed per year with 40 employees.

In 1880 the brewery was founded by Richard Hübsch, the son of an inn owner. Initially with 6 employees, 3,000 hectoliters of beer were brewed per year in a former stocking factory. From the 1890s until the First World War , the brewery was comprehensively enlarged and modernized, including a brewing, boiler and steam engine house as well as a storage and fermentation cellar and the malt house was enlarged. This increased the annual production to 8,000 hectoliters.

With the opening of the Hohenstein-Ernstthal-Oelsnitz tram, there was also a connection to the rail network . In 1924 the brewery was incorporated into the Felsenkeller group, to which the brewery belonged until it was expropriated in 1946. On January 1, 1949, the Glückauf-Brauerei in one was state-owned enterprise converted.

After the political changes in 1989/90 , the Glückauf Brewery was re- privatized by the Treuhandanstalt .
