Glauco Sansovini

Glauco Sansovini (born May 20, 1938 in Rocca San Casciano , Forlì , Italy ; † May 21, 2019 in Borgo Maggiore ) was a San Marinese politician .

biography

From 1956 until his retirement in 2000, Sansovini worked in the private sector in a logistics and trading company .

He did not begin his political career until he retired in March 2001 as a co-founder of the Alleanza Nazionale Sammarinese (ANS). In June 2001 he was elected as their representative to the Grand and General Council (Consiglio Grande e Generale) and re-elected in the 2006 and 2008 elections. In this he was a member of the Standing Advisory Committee and the so-called Council of the Twelve (Consiglio dei XII). After the 2008 election he was elected as a representative of the governing coalition of the Moderate Union (Unione dei Moderati) as President of the regional group at the Interparliamentary Union (IPU) and a member of Committees II (Internal Affairs and Civil Protection) and IV (Industry, Crafts and Economic Cooperation, Post and Telecommunications) of the Grand and General Council.

From April 1 to October 1, 2010, he was Reggente of San Marino together with Marco Conti Capitano .
