Giovanni Francesco Ugolini
Giovanni Francesco Ugolini (born February 28, 1953 in Pont-à-Vendin in the French department of Pas-de-Calais ) is a politician in San Marino . From April 1st to October 1st, 2002 he was Capitano Reggente (Head of State) of San Marino. From October 1, 2010 to April 1, 2011 he was again Capitano Reggente, together with Andrea Zafferani .
biography
Giovanni Francesco Ugolini has a degree in industrial chemistry from the Istituto Tecnico Industriale di Urbino. From 1974 to 1985 he worked as a laboratory technician in the San Marino State Hospital. He then worked as a hotelier in Borgo Maggiore for ten years and between 1996 and 2008 he worked as a manager in an industrial company. Since 2008 he has been an employee of his party, the PDCS. from 1981 to 2007 he was President of the San Marino Tourism Association (USOT). Ugolini is married and has one daughter.
politics
Ugolini became a member of the Christian Democratic PDCS in 1978 . Since 1998 he has been a member of the Consiglio Grande e Generale , the Parliament of San Marino. He was a member of the Finance Committee and the Foreign Affairs Committee. From April to October 2002 he held the office of Capitano Reggente, the head of state of San Marino. He has been Segretario Amministrativo since 2007. In the legislative period from 2008 to 2012 he was a member of the Council of Twelve (Consiglio dei XII). On October 1, 2010, his second term as Capitano Reggente began, together with Andrea Zafferani, which ended on April 1, 2011.
