The Gleinkerbach (also Gleinker Bach ) or Dorningerbach (Dorninger Bach) is a small tributary of the Enns in the Traunviertel in Upper Austria .

Run and hydrography

The Gleinkerbach rises in the settlement area of the Krenn-Grund (Ketteringstraße) southeast of Weinzierl on the borders of the districts of Steyrdorf , Gründberg and Stein . It runs northeast to Gleink and then eastwards through Dornach . There the brook flows into the southernmost of the Stadtgutteiche after about 3½ km .

The stream originally flowed southwards from here, where it flowed into the Enns in Hausleiten . The Stadtgutteiche are several gravel pits, some 100 years old, some recently built, which have been revitalized and are fed by the Gleinkerbach. Now the water seeps into the gravel of the Ennster terrace.

The Gleinkerbach is a small channel that sometimes only carries water at times , but can swell in heavy rain, so it devastated Gleink in July 1985. In 2006, a retention basin was created in Gleink and the Dornacher Unterlauf widened.
