The Globsowsee is a shallow lake in northern Brandenburg in Oberhavel on the territory of the municipality Großwoltersdorf , in the conservation area "Fürstenberger forest and lake area" and in the Natural Park Stechlin-Ruppin country . The village of Altglobsow is located directly on its bank . Its only outflow is a creek to the southeast, which leads into a swamp, the lake has no above-ground tributary. Forest paths lead around the lake.

The lake is used as a bathing lake as well as for fishing and professional fishing. It contains white fish , namely roach , and pikeperch were used to regulate the population . Eel, perch, lead, rudd and tench are also found. The lake is considered to be dominated by phytoplankton . Diving found that the lower macrophyte border was only 1.5 m deep and only horn leaf floating mats were found there. The resulting eutrophication is traced back to previous use for duck and carp fattening.
