Globus is a music project by soundtrack composers and music producers Yoav Goren and Jeffrey Fayman, who are also founders of the Californian music production company Immediate Music , with whom they u. a. Produced the music for the cinema trailers for Spider-Man 2 , The Da Vinci Code , The Da Vinci Code , War of the Worlds , The Lord of the Rings and Open Water .

With their project, the two musicians build on their work as composers of film trailers by mixing epic, often dramatic rock music with choir and orchestral sounds. They call the result Cinematic Rock . The concept of the project is similar to that of ES Posthumus .

The music is mainly composed by Goren, who has already produced Leonard Cohen , and Jeffrey Fayman; other participants include ex- feeder drummer Mark Richardson , Dann Pursey , singer Lisbeth Scott , Anneke van Giersbergen , Gregg Bissonette , soundtrack composer and arranger Hummie Mann , the Purcell Singers and Robert Fripp , with whom Fayman already on the Temple in albums the Clouds and Trance Spirits (with Steve Roach ) worked together.

The project's first appearance was on July 26, 2006 in the Grand Hall of Wembley Arena , followed by the Epicon album in August. Another studio album was released in 2011.

The repertoire was performed live several times with orchestra and choir support and published on CD and DVD. The orchestra was u. a. the Seattle Northwest Sinfonia Orchestra, which was nominated for a Grammy in 2011 . The song Orchard of Mines , written by Pursey and Fayman, was covered by the band Asia on the album Phoenix in 2008 . Later came a single from Orchard of Mines and a music video was produced at Pinewood Studios in the UK.

In 2011 the band's new studio album was released. This time it contained twelve new titles. A tour or concert with the new titles has not yet been announced. In May 2012, the video for the song Save Me from the album Break from This World finally followed .

At the opening ceremony for the final of the European Football Championship 2012 , the melody of the song Europa was performed to accompany the plays.
