Lisbeth Scott

Lisbeth Scott (born January 1, 1968 in Boston , Massachusetts ) is an American singer and songwriter . She is best known for film music , such as for Avatar .

Career

Lisbeth Scott, who grew up in Boston, showed an interest in music at a young age and began to learn to play the piano at the age of 6 . She studied at the New England Conservatory of Music , Connecticut College in New London and the University of London, and later moved to Los Angeles . Only after graduating from university did she start singing. After a friend recognized her singing talent, he introduced her to the film composer Hans Zimmer , which marked the beginning of her career. As a result, Scott worked on the music for various films with various composers. She describes a five-minute solo written by John Williams for the film Munich from 2005 as a personal breakthrough . For the computer game Gothic 3 from 2006, she recorded vocal recordings based on the composition by Kai Rosenkranz in her own studio in California . In 2011 she made a cameo in the television series True Blood, on which she worked on the soundtrack . In addition to film music, she has also released more than ten albums.

Private

Scott was married to composer Nathan Barr for several years and lives in California. She has mastered the instruments piano, accordion , guitar , kalimba and dulcimer .

In 2015, she raised funds for her three-part video series Wonderful Life on the Kickstarter.com platform .
