The Gmina Ulan-Majorat is a rural municipality in the Radzyński powiat of the Lublin Voivodeship in Poland . Your seat is the village of the same name with about 500 inhabitants.
history
The name Ulan is believed to have been borne by a founder of this village. The first written mention of Ulan can be found in a document from 1418 drawn up by Cracow Bishop Wojciech Jastrzębiec . At that time, four farming families lived in the eponymous village of the municipality.
After the November uprising, the Ulan manor, once royal property, was handed over to a Tsar general. At that time the property was attached to the majorate (or large complex ) in Kąkolewnica , which was also given to this general.
After the Second World War, during which the place was temporarily occupied by German troops, as was previously the case in the First World War, Ulan was divided into three parts, Ulan Majorat with the former state estates, Ulan Duży and Ulan Mały with farmland.
